went to probie school with Mike...guys running 5 miles and smoking a cigarette after!!..he was also a big joker...he had us in stitches..he could imitate anyone...anyway i was present in march at ground zero when we found him in the ramp of the south tower...also mc padden from my class was found nearby as well..finally Mr.Lynch and his family could have some type of closure...ill never forget that day ...his father was there every day looking for him as were many fathers ...his company came and we gladly handed off our tools to them and it was their honor to bring him home...we must never forget and those of us living must make sure that future generations remember them for they put it all on the line that day...rest in peace my fine irish lad....

We are extremely sorry for your loss of Michael. We thank him for dedicating his life to help others as a firefighter and a positive role model for the charities he helped. Such dedication to others comes with a brave, warm and caring heart full of love for his fellow man. May Michael's humor, his enoyment of scuba diving, hockey, soccer, golf, positive attitude, peacemaking abilities, life and love continue living through all who love him. May warm and loving memories of Michael lighten the sorrow in your heart. May you feel the warmth of Michael's love deep within your heart as you walk in the footstep of yesterday's memories. Our hearts cry with you in your families loss of Michael and America's loss of a hero.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

Merry Christmas to the Lynch family.
Although we have never met, I have heard a lot about your family from my uncle Fred Lynch from Tralee Ireland. Also my mother (RIP) has met with your Freddie and sister Helen in Florida. She has passed on suddenly in June this year, but I find comfort knowing that she is there with Michael.
We miss our lost family members so much and especially at these times of the year, making it all the more important to cherish the ones we are still with.
If you are ever in Ottawa, please let us know. We would be more than happy to Slainte with you!
Best regards,
Deborah and Leo St. Jean and family, parents Margaret(McCabe)RIP and Peter Karn

Happy Birthday Michael. Not a day goes by that my thoughts don't go to you, but today especially you are in my heart. I wonder, had you not been taken from us, how your life would be, and am sad that I don't get to experience all that you would have given. You spirit though,is with each of those whom you have touched in your lifetime, and that is what we cling to and remember...forever.
Love your sister, Maureen

Dear Michael,
Happy Birthday little brother! From the moment I woke today, all I could think about was you. Today would have been your 35th birthday, how quickly the time goes. My son Michael went to Church with me this morning and together we lit a candle to remember the great man for whom he is named but never met. As Christmas draws near your presence is so terribly missed. The teardrops in our eyes are mixed with smiles on our face as we speak of you, remember you and wish you were with us. Continue to watch over all of us. We miss you so much. Kevin

Dear Michael:
When I placed the wreath on your tree today,it was quiet and peaceful at the grove. The snowflakes seemed to float gently among the trees. Then the sun came out from behind the clouds and the light was so brilliant that I thought the angels must be singing Happy Birthday to you- just as I was in my thoughts.
Love, Kathleen

Hi,
My name is Conor Lynch and I am firefighter in Ireland. My fathers name is also Michael F Lynch and my grandmothers name was Kathleen. I first read about Michael on the FDNY fallen heros website. I have just found this very moving tribute site. I just wanted to say that on each anniversery of 9/11 I do think of Michael and hope that his family are all doing well.

Think of you and your family often. You impacted my life more than you will ever know. I'll never forget your contagious smile. God bless-

You are in my thoughts today. Some days I think of you with a smile and other days it makes me very sad. Everything is just so different since you have left us but I guess that is just the way it has to be. Your friend John misses you terribly. Some day we will all dance and sing again.
Sadly missing your smile today,
Sheila
