Today, I think of you and smile. No more sadness. Mike - it was a pleasure knowing you and I am proud to know that you were one of the brave people who gave their lives to help the lives of other people. You made us laugh constantly and you make us eternally proud.

Dear Michael,
I cannot believe another year has passed us by, another year spent without you here with us. You are always with us in spirit and I know in my heart that you have been with me and helped me through the tough times and rejoiced with me through the good times. I know you met my Aidan when he was in heaven before he came to us and it is obvious he took a part of your spirit down to us, besides looking so much like you, he has a lot of your sense of humor too. I also know that each year does not make it easier to understand, nor make the hurt less. The loss of brother is a profound loss, one I wish upon no one. I miss your smile, I miss your wit, I miss you with all my heart. I love you. Your sister, Colleen

I did not know Michael personally, however I do intend to donate in his memory each and every year, so that others might live a happy and fulfilling life just as he did. When I hear or read stories such as Michael's, I am reminded of a quote that forever stays with me, “History admires the wise, but elevates the brave.” A job well done Michael, and thank you.

On the way home through Hoboken tonight, saw the light shining up from Ground Zero. Your family has been a beacon of hope, love and generosity even in your loss. My love to all the Lynch family today, and my prayers for Michael. Thanks for Michael's courage and service, and for all of you---and the gifts you bring to so many!

Amherst , NY USA - 09/11/2008 09:36PM
Dear Michael: We remembered you and all the 9/11 heroes and innocent civilians at our annual events in Buffalo and Amherst. We were together with the families of Leonard Castrianno, Sean Rooney, Lt. Paul Mitchell, Christopher Lunder and others. We know that somewhere-you are all together-and are aware that we are all together-remembering and missing you. Caroline sang a beautiful version of Angel at both events and Chris helped out with the programs. We will never forget you and know that you are in the arms of the angels! May God Bless you and may you be at peace. Love, Kathleen, Mark, Caroline and Christopher.
