Dear Michael: I am so very sad. I hope that your birthday is filled with joy in heaven and the knowledge that, no matter how many years pass, we miss you terribly and will never forget your great smile. Until we see you again - love your sister, Kathleen

Happy Birthday Big Brother. I still can't believe that you are gone. It doesn't seem right that I can't call you and wish you a happy birthday. I will never understand why you were taken from us and the ache in my heart will never go away. I miss you.
Your lil sis, Colleen

Happy Birthday Michael !! I never called you Michael but today is your birthday.....tomorrow It'll be back to 'Mike' again. Not too many days go by when I don't think about you and I miss you bro. I miss your good naturedness and that Irish smile. You left quite an impact on a lot of people and bet you're smiling about that right now. Happy Birthday to you.

I came acros this poem and thought it as being appropriate in remembering Michael and his life.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE
You can shed tears because he is gone,
Or you can smile because he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all he's left.
Your heart can be empty, because you cannot see him,
Or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember him and only that he's gone,
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what he'd want; smile, open your eyes and go on.

To the Lynch Family:
Although Michael is not with us this Thanksgiving,
he left us a lot to be thankful for. His love,
his electifying laughter, forgiving nature, and
his beautiful smile. Most of all we are thankful
for the gift of knowing and loving him.
Wishing you all a Blessed and Happy Thanksgiving.

Dear Michael,
I am thinking of you especially today on the Feast of All Saints. I have felt your presence with me many times, but most especially on Sept 10th when Paul Michael was born and in the days following. He had a rough entry into this world, but as they gave him oxygen and we waited to hear him cry, I was calm and I knew that you and the Lord were with him and John and I. I felt you there letting me know that he would be alright. I had complete faith that he was ok and thankfully he is! Thank you for being with us then - it is a gift I will never forget.
I miss you every day. I wish I could see you "the fun uncle" interacting with all your nieces and nephews. I wish you could have had the chance to become a father - you would have enjoyed it so much. But we can't lament on what would have been. I try to take comfort in the good times we had with you and in the knowledge that you are still present with us. Enjoy your Feast of All Saints and Feast of All souls. I'm sure you keep heaven rocking!
Love, Eileen
