Although it still sickens me that people like Mike died in this tragic event I take the hatred I have for the terrorists and focus it on a passion for doing good for others. Miracles are happening because of it. My heart goes out to his friends and family.

"LOVE YA MIKE" MIKE AND I HAD A FAVORITE QUOTE THAT WE WOULD SAY TO EACH OTHER EVERYTIME WE SAW ONE ANOTHER: "IT'S NOT LIKE GOI'N DOWN TO THE POND FOR BLUEGILLS AND TOMMY CODS", " THIS SHARK, SWALLOW YOU WHOLE". "HEY CHIEF," I SEE YA BROUGHT YOUR RUBBERS!, HA!" (MOVIE "JAWS").. REX WOULD UNDERSTAND..... I THINK ABOUT MIKE EVERYDAY AND I PRAY FOR HIM. I HOPE TO SEE HIM AGAIN IN HEAVEN ONE DAY SO, WE CAN FISH TOGETHER AND TALK ABOUT THINGS. I MISS THOSE DAYS............MIKE. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE "IRISHMAN"

what a wonderful day... different than last years outing... but great in its own way. My thanks to all who make me and everyone not fortunate enough to be born a "Lynch" feel welcome. Especially Tracy, who worked so hard on this event. I hope that everyone will carry away with them the sense of love of family and community that was so apparent and strong today. While missing Michael, we are forced to look at ourselves a little more closely, and are led to see both our goodness and where improvements might be made.

Just wanted to write and say hello to all of you and to let you know that "Richie" has not and WILL NEVER forget you!! Even though I never met Michael I have to say that Michael Lynch and FDNY 343 will always be with me!!! I will never forget the "quiet" strenght that you as a family displayed and have continued to display from 9/11/01 to this present day. That strength continues to shine brightly through the Great Works of the Michael Lynch Memorial Foundation!! GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!! Love and Prayers from the Cop from Ct., Mike "Richie" Russell.

The TNBA wants to sponsor a hole at the Golf Outing, so I was just going to check in and make sure I had the correct information.... but I'm still here. I should have went home hours ago, but I got caught up on your site. It has a way of doing that to you. More than a year and a half later, I am still trying to figure out what the heck happened. And I know I'll never get my answer. We are getting the TNBA Triathalon together and of course, music is always on my check-list. So I make a mental note that we need to talk to "Bat & Mike." I can't even stop myself, it's "Bat & Mike." No offense, Jimmy - it's just that it seems like at first there was Bat, then Mike joined, and then you. By that time it was "One Step Beyond Entertainment" and I could never get the name right. :) Pathetic, but true. Every time we went to write thanks and kudos to you in the paper or the newsletter, I would have to ask Karin - what's their name again? It was just "Bat & Mike" to me. Anyway, it seems like we'll be back at Maritime again for the last weekend in June. Just like the old days. So Mike, we'll be sure to hold aside some extra "beverage tickets" for you - and Bat & Jimmy, we need to talk! :)

I just wanted to congratulate the Michael Lynch Memorial Foundation Board Members and especially the fundraising committee on the annual dinner held March 24. It was a great success and you did a wonderful job.
It is a testament to the strength of New Yorkers and Americans everywhere that out of great personal and communal tragedy, we can rise up and look to the future and in the process help some very decerving young men and women gain a college education.
Congratulations on the first of many successful dinners. Well Done!!!
