What can I say, another hero lost on that disasterous day in September of 2001. May we never live through something like this again. I was honored to visit your city for the Firefighter memorial Service held at Madison Square Garden. I am a Battalion Chief on a Department in Illinois and all of the members of the FDNY treated myself and another Firefighter from my Department like royalty. I will never forget that, I will also never forget that all of the citizens of New York that we came into contact with, from on the street to the subways also treated us as royalty. It was truly a trip I will never forget and will always cherish that I had the opportunity to take it. I am very sorry and it is with a heavy heart always that I will remember the trip was a Memorial for alot of Brave and courageous souls that lost their lives that sunny day in September. May God be with them always.
