Thinking of you all, especially this morning as the radio carried the bells tolling across Manhattan all the way to our ears in Idaho. No person is an island -- we stand with you in sorrow, faith and hope. Love from Monique, Duncan, Richard and Louis

Dearest "Aunt" Kathleen, "Uncle" Jack, Stephanie and the entire Lynch Clan, All my love, thoughts and prayers are with all of you today, on Michael's 1st anniversary in Heaven. How the angels must be dancing with Michael as their DJ! Michael displayed such tremendous courage, bravery and doubtless faith on that fateful day last year-- and all of you have perpetuated that same courage and faith ever since. Michael, Stephanie and your entire family are an inspiration to us all. God Bless all of you today and all the days to come. With Much Love, Marianne

Dear Michael: It has been a full year and I still cannot believe this has truly happened. It may be that because your spirit is so present in our hearts and our minds - always - from our waking moments through our sleepless nights - it is hard to reconcile your physical absence from us. Our past, our present, our future are all now seen through our pain and loss. I ask that you pray for all of us. Share with us the courage you so bravely displayed one year ago today. Help us to wake each day with your spirit of hope, your love of life, your determination to appreciate all of the gifts God has given us- our family, our friends and even strangers. You were a happy, life-loving, adventurous, musical person. Help us to remember your laugh, your humor, your energy, and your appreciation of people and life's simple moments - in our dark moments. We will always remember you. We want to honor you by being as brave as you were and loving as much as you did. We want to respect your brave sacrifice and have the courage to go forward now and live fully - as you did. Your sacrifice has demanded more of us than we ever thought possible -but we know you have supported us through all if it. I will never forget being supported at your Memorial Mass as I gave my eulogy. I know you were there beside me - as you have been through so many of these difficult moments. I will always love you. I will never forget you. Some precious day, I will see you again and I will finally be able to give you the great big hug I long to give you now. Your big sister, Kathleen

Michael you will forever be missed. There is not a day that goes by that we don't think about you, Dennis & John. Keep smiling, keep playing that music, and we'll meet again one day. Forever in our hearts, Terry & Frank.

Dearest Lynches and Stephanie and family, I'm praying for you and Michael today as always. You've very generously shared Michael's joyful life, his heroism and your despair over losing him with, literally, the world. Thank you. Amid today's public commemorations and shared grieving, I wish for each one of you a peaceful moment just for you and Michael. With love, Kathy

I will remember Mike yelling as a goof, "BALONEY AND CHEESE!" outside of the Silver Beach deli, forever.
