I am a very dear friend of Colleen and Jason. My sincerest condolences and thoughts and prayers are with you and yours in this terrible time. I just got the email that Michael had been found and I am so sad and somewhat relieved for you that there is finally an end. My tears are flowing freely as I type this message, and offer our prayers in thanksgiving for Michael's recovery. There are no words that we can offer, no thoughts that we can send other than to say God has answered the many, many fervent petitions of the past months. May the days ahead hold solice and support, our prayers are will all of you. Fondly, Pat & Fred and Family

To the Lynch family; I visit this website everyday. I was at work this afternoon when I read the news Michael had been found and I picked up the phone to talk with Colleen. I want you to know, this is exactly what everyone has prayed for, everyday, for the family. We are all very thankful you were able to bring Michael home. The power of your faith has been so incredible and inspirational, in more ways than you could ever know. Michael will always be with each and every one of you. Know you are in our thoughts, prayers, and there are some who have found profound peace in your faith. Michael is truly an angel and so are all of you. Welcome home, Michael. May you rest in peace. Your family has been waiting and their prayers have been answered. God bless you all.

I received the news from Colleen today about Michael, with it accompanied the photo from Ground Zero. Having contact with Colleen and Janson over the past six months and having met the Lynch family briefly at Michael's Memorial Service, I saw a determined and motivated family that was without a doubt going to see that Michael came home. What I saw when I viewed that photo was a strong look of achievement and a pround family. Michael has been at peace and his efforts will never be forgoten and hopefully because of your efforts you are at peace also. On behalf of the Fairfield FD, our prayers and thoughts have been with you during this trying time and will continue to be with you as Michael is laid to rest. God Bless..... Russell L. Dearest Lynch family and Stephanie, We are so grateful that your prayers have been answered. When I was little, my father told me that he tried not to pray for a particular thing or outcome. He tried instead to ask God for strength and understanding no matter what the outcome. A simple idea, but often so difficult to do. Of course we've all been praying for a very specific result and thankfully Michael has been found. Now I'll continue to pray for strength and understanding and peace for all, most especially for your family. All of you, along with Michael's fellow firefighters and the many dedicated rescue workers, refused to give up. You brought Michael home. With love, Kathy, Kevin, Caitlin and Brendan

I check Michael's site every day to see if they found him. I now read here that they finally did. Please, if anyone can tell me for sure this is true, I'd appreciate an email (shellanddes@sosbbs.com) or something. Although I didn't know Michael, I, like many strangers, have found a permanent place in my heart for him. I've been praying for this day - is this really the day?!

Dear Lynch family and Stephanie-- We are thanking God that Michael was found and that you may all lay him to rest now. Once again the fire department has shown great respect for you and for Michael by having as many of you present (and participating) as possible when he was carried out. We pray that those not present at the time feel some comfort that others were. We pray for comfort and peace for each of you as you deal once again with the tremendous loss that this is. Know that friends and family (as well as many strangers) are praying for you. May Michael rest in peace. Love, Tara, Jack, Betsy, Liam and Emma Hughes
