Dear Michael, Today, marks the 5th anniversary of our Celebration of Life Mass for you at St. Patrick's. That day is still so clear in my mind, leaving Schuyler Hill...going back to Mom and Dad's...assembling outside the house...it was a sunny day...the firetruck sat in front of the house with your jacket on the back...we all got into line...awaiting the signal to begin walking to St. Frances...Deborah was next to me...9 months pregnant...just 12 days prior to giving birth...the firetruck started out....we followed...we turned onto Tremont and some of our neighbors we out on the curb...we walked to Harding Ave....we made the left and the sight we saw was overwhelming. The American flag was suspended over Harding Ave by two ladder trucks as we walked underneath...There were thousands of people....so many the plaza of the Church was packed...people practically spilling into the street...the seemed to be an endless sea of firemen and firetrucks everywhere...our family walked in between a line of saluting firemen...the emotions were overwhelming...what an incredible tribute to you...I just thought I would let you know that I was thinking about you especially today...we all miss you terribly.

Hello Lynch family. I didn't know Michael but I was friends with his brother Kevin in high school. Kevin I was saddened to hear of your loss on 9-11. I only wish I had learned of this website earlier so that I could have expressed my condolences to your family sooner. Your family has done such an incredible job in honoring Michael's memory. It is evident that his life was rich with family and friends that loved him well. Isn't that the greatest blessing of all? I wish you and your family continued love, support and many blessings. I cannot believe it has been 5 yrs. already since that horrible Tuesday - it hurts just as much today. Watching the Remembrance on tv today makes our country aware of how many young people are growing up without mothers or fathers and how many parents lost children in the devastation. Michael gave the ultimate sacrifice to help his fellow man. His star will always shine bright. Love, Rose Merrigan, Abington, PA
